Just a reminder: your everyday faith matters
I believe being consistent is such an important part of life and determines what kind of outcomes we will see, as consistent actions create consistent results.
I think that one key part of consistency is learning to be consistent with the small habits of life. Christianity should never become something that is only developed on Sunday, but something we are constantly striving to improve on Monday to Saturday.
A quote by Tony Robbins says “It's not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives, it’s what we do consistently.” This quote sums up the importance of continually living with good habits, as they are what shape our lives.
It's the small things Monday through Sunday like praying and reading our bible or having worship moments with God, not in a church environment, that will help define us and strengthen our faith to do good works.
The commitment to constantly develop the small things will eventually go forward to help us to be an influence. People will see us as trustworthy people living lives like Christ and it will open up doors for people who don’t yet know God, to experience Him.
I want to encourage you to think about how you shape your life Monday to Sunday. Are we putting effort into the smaller details that will eventually impact the bigger parts of life and cause us to be stronger in our faith and people after God’s own heart.
Prayer for today: God a pray that through my whole life you would help me to stay consistent in the way I serve you in every aspect of life. That I would be able to commit to my faith and not let it be something I only think about when it works for me. But instead try and live like you, a God that never changes. Thank you that you love me and are for me, in your name I pray, Amen.
