Give it to God, He can handle it better

Do you ever feel like you’re failing? Like your life-plate is overflowing and you don’t have enough time and energy to fully address any one area? That has been my reality the last few weeks and, if I’m honest, it was stealing my joy. It took a few weeks to identify the tattered state of my soul but Jesus faithfully showed me that I had been striving, trying to do it all on my own.
In gently opening my eyes to the need for Him, He tangibly revealed the hope, ease and contentment found in leaning on Him each moment. He’s used Ephesians 3:20 to solidify this reality in a new way this week (shoutout to the living and ACTIVE Word that meets us where we are in every season)!
The more that I actively submit my striving and will to Him, the more He moves, fills me with peace, and works in the situations that my flesh tries to control. You know what the best part is? Time and time again, He addresses each area that I release better than I ever could have, even if I had all of the time and energy in the world. Thanks be to God for His power, plan, and patience with us!
Prayer for today:
Dear God, I pray that you would help me to remember that you thoughts and ways are higher than mine. I ask that you would show me how to surrender my will to yours each moment, even and especially when my need to control threatens to override your plan for a peaceful, abundant life.
