When I have nothing to say
Sometimes our minds and hearts can get crowded, with thoughts, feelings and circumstances that feel out of our control.
In these moments we can become overwhelmed, not knowing where to start, when trying to tackle it all, or when bringing it before God in prayer.
We are so blessed that we have a God who knows what we need before we even ask. Who not only hears our cries but is ‘in it’ with us in every breath that enters and exits our lungs. As well as, a Holy Spirit who intercedes on our behalf.
So if you are overwhelmed today, It’s okay! While Jesus was on Earth, He taught us exactly what to pray when we get caught in the inevitable whirlwind of it all.
“ ‘Our Father, dwelling in the heavenly realms,
may the glory of your name
be the centre on which our lives turn.
Manifest your kingdom realm,
and cause your every purpose to be fulfilled on earth,
just as it is fulfilled in heaven.
We acknowledge you as our Provider
of all we need each day.
Forgive us the wrongs we have done as we ourselves
release forgiveness to those who have wronged us.
Rescue us every time we face tribulation
and set us free from evil.
For you are the King who rules
with power and glory forever. Amen.’”
Matthew 6:9-13 (TPT)
May these words bring rest to your soul today as you hand over control who can handle what’s beyond your reach.
