God loves you
God loves you.
Have you ever felt like you’ve done so much that God just couldn’t love you anymore, like you’ve made too many mistakes, too many bad decisions, said too many bad words, denied God too many times....
Well Psalm 139 says this:
“Is there anyplace I can go to avoid your Spirit? to be out of your sight?
If I climb to the sky, you’re there!
If I go underground, you’re there!
If I flew on morning’s wings to the far western horizon, You’d find me in a minute— you’re already there waiting!”
It’s beautiful to think that no matter where we run or we we may try hide, God is there and he desires to have a relationship with us.
I love the story of the prodigal son, because it reminds me that even when the father has every reason to tell his son he’s done too much, gone too far and has behaved too badly - he still opens his loving arms to him. This story as seen in Luke 15 reassures us that the love which God the Father has for us is a love that knows no bounds, and a love which will never give up.
I want to encourage you today, to be reminded that it doesn’t matter what you’ve done, where you’ve been, what you’ve consumed, or what you’ve said - GOD LOVES YOU. And he desires to see you come home.
I encourage you today to read the entirety of Psalm 139, and be reminded that God cares so much for you, and that he had an incredible plan for your life, even before you took your first breath.
